Our heartfelt service is dedicated to supporting adults who have experienced loss in the Southwark area, UK. We provide 12 enriching weekly sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, with the opportunity to review and extend this journey of healing together. Rest assured, our service is grounded in strict confidentiality, allowing you to share your feelings in a safe and nurturing environment.

You can be referred to us through your GP, an external organization, or, better yet, you can take the bold step to self-refer. Once we receive your details, we will eagerly reach out to you, ready to assess how our service can profoundly impact your life. Please explore our 3 simple Steps to get our grief counselling service.

1. Eligibility Screening for Grief Counselling

You must be registered with a GP.

We advise that counselling is more effective after a three-month period has elapsed since your bereavement.

You must be living or working within the London Borough of Southwark or neighbouring boroughs in the UK.

We may not work with people if:

We feel could be a risk of harm to themselves or others, based on our risk assessments.

It’s important to acknowledge that some individuals may be using alcohol and/or drugs, which can make the healing process more challenging.

If assessment indicates the client is not ready for grief counselling.

Please understand that we cannot accept referrals from professional organizations without receiving a complete risk assessment.

2. Risk assessment for Grief Counselling.

An initial assessment will help determine if counselling is suitable for you, with a recommended waiting period of at least three months after bereavement to allow time for the initial shock to subside before starting.

Please complete the self referral intake survey  this is required before counselling can begin.

3. Book an Appointment

You will receive compassionate support from a skilled counsellor or psychotherapist who is well-versed in bereavement issues. We take pride in providing excellent clinical supervision for all our counsellors, ensuring a high standard of care. Our service upholds the ethics and guidelines set forth by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, allowing you to feel confident in your journey toward healing.
